Welcome to Jean-Jacques Beltramo's Traces Urbaines - a unique set of limited editions photos!

The artist’s approach is based on an unceasing aesthetic quest. With the eye of an individualist, he seeks out the traces of human presence in the commonplace urban environment. These traces, seen in close-up, isolate them from their context and lead him to his own vision of the world. A vision that enables him, without the help of special effects, to transform the most ordinary objects into abstract compositions of line and colour. Inspired by the commonplace, he demonstrates the essential importance of vision in the photographer's art. By revealing the unfamiliar aspect of the city thanks to this abundance of neglected visual resources, he invites the spectator to take a fresh look at his everyday environment.
