Registration is required for all artists who want to sell their works of art online on the island-of-art.com website.

If you wish to sell your works of art on the Island of Art website, please be aware of our acceptance criteria.

Acceptance criteria

The works of art must be genuinely those of the submitting artist and must not infringe any copyrights.

We reserve the right to decide which works of art will be appropriate to our island. Therefore we will reserve the the right to refuse a registration application, or a particular work of art, on these grounds.

Artists applying for membership must submit at least 3-4 images typical of their work for review.

Island of Art Ltd will act as a non-exclusive agent on behalf of the artist to sell his or her artwork via the island-of-art.com website and via any exhibitions organised from time to time by the company.

Website content

Each artist is entitled to an individual gallery on the island-of-art.com website with a personal address: http://www.island-of-art.com/artist's name.

The artist must supply the images of their works of art to Island of Art Ltd for display on the website. Images supplied electronically need to be 72dpi resolution and around 600 pixels wide. Print, slides or negatives are also acceptable.

The Island of Art's web-design staff will create the artist's gallery on the island-of-art.com website.

The artist must supply details for each work of art, such as category (see below), materials, method, size, title, price etc.

The artist's gallery can include hyperlinks to the artist's own's website, their email address and other sites on which their art is displayed.

The maximum number of images is 40.

Set up procedure:

Once membership terms have been agreed and all necessary information has been received by Island of Art from the artist, 7-10 working days will be required to set up the artist's own gallery on the island-of-art.com website.

As well as pictures of the works of art to be sold, the following details about each piece will also be required.

• Category, method, materials, size, title, price etc;
• Details and costings of packaging and shipping method to be used for each piece of artwork.

A profile of artist must also be supplied.

Membership costs:

There is no Membership Annual Fee.

Administration fee:

A 25% administration fee will be payable to Island of Art Ltd for any sales made online via the island-of-art.com website and via any exhibitions organised from time to time by the company.

Membership renewal:

Island of Art will review each artist's membership at the end of each year to ensure that the relationship is still beneficial to both parties.
